The Fifth Street Food Pantry — a collaborative effort of Bacon County Family Connection and ActionPact — received generous donations in recent months from two local businesses.
La Regina Atlantica, with a manufacturing plant here in Alma, and D.L. Lee & Sons, with a meat processing plant here in Alma, both made substantial donations to the pantry. La Regina donated 66 cases of Rao’s tomato sauce products, and D.L. Lee’s donated a large quantity of meat and other frozen products.
The pantry is located at 202 E. Fifth Street in Alma. It provides monthly food boxes to those in need in Bacon County. The boxes are distributed each Wednesday. To reserved a box, you must call 632-4288 on the Tuesday prior to pick up.
