- Held each year for over 25 years, Day of the Child is our most popular event. On the last Saturday of April each year, Bacon County Family Connection takes over Goldwasser Park in downtown Alma to provide a day of food, fun, games, gifts, and more for the community’s kids. At the same time, over 30 vendors give out information about available resources for their parents/guardians.
